Associate Assistant Principal: SENDCo job summary

As the SENDCo some of your responsibilities will include:
The monitoring and supporting of SEND students to maximise progress, ensuring that all groups are challenged and supported to make progress.
Hold the lead responsibility for the coordination of all Special Educational Needs and / or Disabilities (SEND) provision in school
To be a full and active member of the appropriate school leadership.
To line manage and hold account designated staff
To line manage and hold account allocated faculties where appropriate.
To undertake specific whole Academy responsibilities that will lead to the progress of SEND students and the safe, efficient, smooth running of the Academy as agreed by the Principal.
Maintain the SEND register
Ensure that all staff have access to appropriate training about SEND
Ensure that a graduated response is in place for all students on the SEND register
Case manage the most complex SEND cases in the academy
Complete EHCNA documentation as required
Produce reports for SLT and Governors in order to advise about the make up of the SEND register
Produce reports for SLT and Governors in order to advise about the impact of interventions
