Associate Principal (Wisbech) job summary

The Brooke Weston Trust is proud to have been selected to provide a new Free School in the Cambridgeshire area.

We believe the Wisbech Free School is one of the most exciting and important career opportunities to arise in North Cambridgeshire for many years.

The school will be the 12th school in our family of primary and secondary schools based across Northamptonshire and North Cambridgeshire. The Trust has a close relationship with the local community and already runs the other secondary school, Thomas Clarkson Academy, and Peckover Primary School, in Wisbech.

We are due to open the Phase One modular building to provide additional capacity for 90 students in September 2024. Students and staff are expected to move into the new building in during the 2026/2027 academic year, subject to planning, where it will grow into a 120 PAN school.

We are therefore looking for an exceptional individual with the moral purpose, knowledge and leadership skills required for working in areas of high disadvantage and delivering a culture of achievement for young people.

The Associate Principal will shape the future direction of this new school and help to make a lasting impact on the community. This is your opportunity to be the difference, creating an environment for children to thrive.

The successful candidate will be able to draw on substantial previous experience either as an Associate Principal or Vice Associate Principal with a demonstrable track record of delivery and sustained school improvement in a similar context.
