Attendance Administrator job summary

Sir Harry Smith Community College are recruiting a school Attendance Administrator to support our school’s Attendance Officer.

The hours for this role are 35 hours per week ~ 8.30am to 4pm, term time only.

Salary: Scale 3 - Actual Salary - 19,662 (pay award pending) ~ FTE is £24,790

The overwhelming body of evidence suggests that attendance is an essential ingredient in children’s learning. Because of this, a thorough and professional attendance team is essential to a successful and thriving school.

This role will require the successful candidate to follow up on absences within school, help to find solutions with families and young adults and notice trends and patterns with student absences. This information will provide part of children’s bespoke interventions and help to protect and educate the children in this community.

The successful candidate will:

Have competent computer skills

Be prepared to learn on the job and undertake training

Work well both individually and as part of a committed team of supportive staff and skilled teachers.
