Attendance Administrator job summary

JOB PURPOSE

To work alongside our Attendance Manager to promote excellent attendance, reduce levels of absence and work with students and families to promote high levels of attendance. To support students in achieving to their full potential and to promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure daily attendance registers are accurate and complete

Answer and log attendance calls

Undertake late gate duties and issue appropriate correspondence to parents / carers

Responsible for ensuring first response to absence, contacting home to establish reasons for absence where it has not been reported and refer to relevant staff within specified timescales

Send attendance and punctuality letters, where agreed. Ensure triggered communication relating to attendance and punctuality are issued accurately and in a timely manner

Maintain registers for events within School, eg. Activity Days, revision days etc.

Accurately keep records of attendance procedures and interventions for referral to outside agencies for further intervention and/or prosecution.

Liaising with the Designated Safeguarding Lead for child protection purposes.

Produce attendance data reports as required
