Attendance and Behaviour Lead job summary
The Directors of St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Academy Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly motivated Attendance and Behaviour Lead to work as part of the team at St Anthony’s VC Academy.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Inclusion Team to ensure the best possible support for our pupils and families, with a particular focus on those experiencing vulnerability. This role is outward facing, often the first point of contact for our school community and therefore requires someone who exudes care, patience and holds high expectations on behalf of our pupils and families.
Pupils learn when they feel safe, happy and valued. This role is highly centred around this. We are committed to a positive and proactive approach to behaviour, focused on relationships. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the day-to-day of supporting pupils in this area.
We are looking to appoint someone who:
Is highly organised, emotionally resilient and confident handling a varied workload.
Is passionate about attendance and committed to creating a safe environment where every child can flourish.
Understands how vital school attendance is and has experience analysing data and supporting families to quickly improve and sustain attendance
Is confident with the Attend Framework and the day-to-day management of this
Is a highly effective communicator
Can use technology confidently, adapting to evolving systems and processes
Is an advocate for inclusion, with a passion for helping all children to thrive.
Has an in-depth understanding of how certain behaviours can be outward signs of inward need
Is confident establishing relationships with families and being a supportive presence in their lives
Has experience working with outside agencies to ensure appropriate and timely support is in place for pupils
Works well as part of a close-knit team, is solution focused and open to feedback and development
uses their initiative to ensure the best possible support for pupils and families
is committed to their own professional development
