Attendance Officer job summary

We are looking to appoint an Attendance Officer. The postholder will manage all aspects of the attendance process in line with statutory requirements, maintaining accurate student attendance records and reporting on attendance, as required. The candidate will have excellent communication and influencing skills and be experienced in working to deadlines.

The postholder will have a strong administration background, be confident using data and excel and be able to generate reports for the Senior Leadership Team and the DfE and other agencies. They will work with the Assistant Principal for Behaviour and Attendance and the Trust's Education Welfare Officer and families to develop plans to ensure all students’ attendance meets expectations to optimise learning and attainment for all.

The successful candidate will be well supported by a range of colleagues and by a comprehensive programme of induction and training to ensure their individual needs are met.
