We are seeking a reliable, proactive and efficient Attendance Officer to join the team at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy.


The successful candidate will help our students achieve success by working with students, families, staff and other agencies to support and intervene with student attendance. You will have excellent organisational skills and confidence in communicating with a range of different stakeholders, including students and parents.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • To promote high levels of school attendance and punctuality, advising on the development of whole school policies
  • To support the educational development of all pupils and to be responsible for individual casework
  • To provide administrative and clerical support services to a high standard, supporting management, teachers and pupils in an efficient, professional and effective manner
  • To work within a team of multi-skilled administrators, leading on specific areas of responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager.


About You:

You will be someone who is able to work on your own initiative and with minimal supervision, can meet deadlines by effective planning and time management, and have good communication skills, both written and spoken to internal and external stakeholders.


Essential:

  • Good basic level of education preferably including GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Experience in working in monitoring attendance and punctuality of pupils
  • Experience of problem solving
  • IT Literate
  • Desirable:
  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience or higher
