What skills and experience we're looking for
John Smeaton Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Attendance Officer. This opportunity is of great importance to our work as an academy with the successful candidate being responsible for supporting young people and their families with exceptional attendance. This role is of great importance to our work as an academy – the successful applicant will be expected to support the attendance team in improving the attendance and punctuality across by monitoring the attendance of students and referring concerns.
The ideal applicant will have:
- 5+ GCSE C/4 and above (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
- A full, clean driving license.
- Good ICT skills
- Knowledge of the social, emotional and mental health needs of young people.
