Further details about the role

We are seeking an Attendance Officer on a temporary basis for up to one year, covering a period of maternity leave. You will play a key role in raising achievement by tracking student attendance and punctuality, highlighting areas of concern and working with families to remove barriers to attendance, encouraging a positive and independent attitude to learning.

With regular contact with our Senior Leadership, Pastoral and Data teams, the position also involves working closely with families and students. We are therefore looking for an individual with robust communication skills, excellent negotiating skills to gain the confidence of students, parents/carers and staff and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships. You will be confident in resolving conflict and remaining calm in sometimes challenging situations. Proficiency in IT applications and systems is essential in this role, where you will be compiling reports and analysing statistical data for monitoring purposes.
