We currently have over 1000 students on roll and are heavily oversubscribed. Millthorpe is a popular and successful school rooted in its community, close to the heart of the historic city of York. You will be a joining a dedicated, warm, inclusive and motivated team of over 100 teaching and support staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Attendance Officer, who will liaise with students, families and staff to remove any significant barriers to attending school, so that we are able to offer our students an excellent education, combined with excellent pastoral care to ensure that all children fulfil their potential.

The successful candidate will need to be confident and able to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies as required and must possess strong IT skills. They will also be approachable and have a positive attitude towards staff and students. You must also have a driving licence and your own transport as you will be required to undertake home visits to address concerns regarding student absence.

It would be advantageous to have a strong working knowledge of SIMS and a strong admin background.
