Attendance Officer job summary

Ormiston NEW Academy, graded Ofsted 'Good', is a school based on a clear and defined pedagogical model and explicitly taught behavioural norms. The latest inspection report praises the school’s leaders for creating a "culture where positive behaviour and discipline are celebrated". Students at NEW Academy understand that they must try their best and strive for excellence at all times,” In the most recent Ofsted inspection one student told inspectors, “I know that today will not be my best, because tomorrow will be better”.

We are currently looking for an Attendance Officer to join us on a term time plus 2 weeks basis, including INSET days. The role will be five working days a week for 37 hours. The main duties of the role will be to analyse, monitor and support improvement of all aspects of student attendance and punctuality at the academy, working alongside key staff, students and families to improve and sustain high levels of attendance.
