What skills and experience we're looking for
York High School is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Attendance Officer, who will liaise with students, families and staff to remove any significant barriers to attending school, and will work with Pastoral and SEN leaders to improve the attendance of identified pupils.
The successful candidate will need to be confident and able to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies as required. You may be required to travel independently to the homes of pupils and therefore should have your own vehicle and insurance for business use. You will be approachable and able to work collaboratively with parents/carers, and whilst it would be advantageous to have a working knowledge of our school Management Information System (SIMS), training will be provided.
We would strongly encourage any prospective candidate to visit the school. Please email Dawn Becton at d.becton@yorkhigh.elt.org.uk if you would like to arrange a visit to the school.
Further details about our school and an application form are available on our school website: www.yorkhighschool.co.uk
An application form, job description and person specification are available on the Trust website: https://excellearningtrust.org.uk/careers/
Please email applications to recruitment@elt.org.uk marked for the attention of Mr Gavin Kumar, Principal.
Interviews will be held during the week commencing 10 February 2025.
Excel Learning Trust reserves the right to close advertisements early. Advertisements will therefore close at midnight either on the advertised closing date, or at the point the decision has been taken to close the advertisement early. Applicants will be invited for interview once suitable applications are received, therefore early applications are strongly encouraged and advised.
