Attendance & Pastoral Officer - Term Time Plus 5 Days (20hrs) 12 month FTC job summary

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive in education? We’re looking for a dedicated Attendance and Pastoral Officer to join our team and make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote excellent attendance and punctuality across the school.
  • Provide pastoral support to pupils and families, removing barriers to learning and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with external agencies to coordinate support and interventions.
  • Monitor attendance data and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with families and conduct home visits where needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children and families in education or social care.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and data systems (e.g., SIMS).
  • A flexible, proactive team player with a commitment to inclusion and wellbeing.
