Introduction to role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Attendance, Safeguarding and Medical Needs Lead to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a vital role in shaping the safety, wellbeing, and success of every pupil. This is an opportunity to take leadership across safeguarding, attendance, and medical needs, ensuring every child is supported, protected, and able to thrive.
Aim and main purpose of the role:
- Protect and empower pupils by leading safeguarding referrals and case management, ensuring timely interventions that make a real difference to children’s lives.
- Drive improved attendance and engagement, identifying barriers early and leading targeted strategies that help every pupil reach their full potential .
- Create a culture of confidence and vigilance, equipping and supporting colleagues to recognise, respond to, and prevent safeguarding concerns.
- Champion joined-up support for families, working closely with external agencies to deliver coordinated, high-impact interventions.
- Ensure every child’s needs are met, through effective oversight of medical provision and wellbeing support across the school.
- Use data to influence change, monitoring trends, evaluating practice, and shaping strategic improvements that strengthen safeguarding and pupil outcome.
