Salary: NJC 23 - £27.026 (Actual) £33,366 FTE + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits
Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Contract: Two years fixed term (Dec 2026 end)

We're looking for a dedicated Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our warm and welcoming team at The Green Way Academy, in Hull on a two year fixed term basis.
The Attendance Officer is critical to promoting high levels of Attendance across the school, and thereby giving all students the best possible chance of success within their education. They will work as part of the Pastoral team, administering the tracking of attendance across the school, supporting students with poor attendance through a range of intervention strategies, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that staff and parents are working effectively together to improve individual and whole school attendance.
You're someone who has:
* Motivation and enthusiasm to support in an educational environment.
* Experience of working with children.
* Ability to do data entry with a high level of administrative accuracy.
* An understanding of social/welfare issues that affect children, families and schools.
* Ability to make objective recommendations in a sensitive yet clear and concise way.

Our staff teams in both schools are dedicated to giving pupils the very best learning experiences along with the highest standard of teaching . We also pride ourselves on keeping pupils safe and happy to learn. Our pupils are well behaved, hard working and kind individuals who enjoy school and making progress. The school has invested greatly in educational recovery since our Covid closures and we were very proud of our results in 2022!
