Start date: Wednesday 3rd September 2025

Hours of work: 3.00pm –5.00pm, Monday – Thursday term time only

We are looking for candidates with:

Previous experience of working with young children, or a relevant qualification.

Knowledge of safeguarding/child protection procedures is an advantage.

Good communication skills.

An understanding of play based approaches to children’s learning and development.

Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is an advantage.

Holder of a first aid qualification is an advantage.

Rush Common is a friendly and popular two-form entry Primary School with a capacity of 420 pupils aged between 4 and 11. The school is split into three phases: Early Years Foundation Stage; KS1 Years 1 and 2; and Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6). Rush Common School converted to an Academy in March 2012 and is part of Abingdon Learning Trust. The school was awarded a Good Ofsted grading in November 2021.
