We are proud to be part of the Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust, made up of nine schools all working collaboratively.
We are seeking to appoint a Before School Club Play Worker, to join our Young Explorers team.
You will be supporting the provision of a child centred environment where children are looked after in a safe, caring and stimulating way. You will ensure their individual needs are met within a group setting, in accordance with the clubs policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will need to be a friendly, enthusiastic and playful person, supporting children’s needs and supervising the play space. You will be required to escort the children to their classrooms following the morning session.
Strong communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with children and parents. Dedication to providing quality childcare is necessary to ensure the club meets all legal requirements. Ideally you will hold a level 2 or 3 qualification in either play work or an equivalent childcare qualification and have previous experience of a play setting, although this is not essential.
The successful candidate will:
- Be friendly, enthusiastic and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in either play work or equivalent childcare qualification or have relevant experience

The school will carry out online search checks for all shortlisted applicants, before interview candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration form, in line with keeping children safe in education guidance. The successful applicant will then be required to undertake an enhanced DBS and other pre-employment checks.
