    Pelton Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour and Inclusion Assistant to join our committed team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing, promoting positive behaviour, and creating an inclusive learning environment under the guidance of our SENCO.

    The successful candidate will lead and support behaviour management across the school, working with individual pupils or small groups to meet their pastoral and emotional needs. You will be responsible for implementing and coordinating behaviour strategies, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour and inclusion.

    You will also support pupils not working to the normal timetable, contribute to the development of behaviour support plans, and provide reports for senior leadership and the Academy Committee. There may be occasions where you will deliver learning to individuals or groups and provide short-term cover for classes.

    We are looking for someone with experience of working with children with complex needs, who can remain calm in challenging situations and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to build positive professional relationships with pupils and families are essential.
