Behaviour for Learning Leader job summary
The Role
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring all pupils at Roughwood Primary School have the necessary social, emotional, and behavioural support to succeed. It is initially temporary for 1 year, covering maternity leave with a view to extend. As the Behaviour for Learning Leader and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), you will be the core link between school, home, and external agencies. You will champion positive behaviour, lead targeted pastoral interventions for vulnerable children (including LAC and SEMH pupils), and manage the school's response to attendance issues and low-level exclusions. This role requires exceptional resilience, strong safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to inspire and manage support staff.
