What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic subject specialist to join our committed Behaviour Team. The successfulcandidate will motivate, challenge, support and inspire our students. The ideal candidate ideally will haverelevant experience in a similar role with a proven track record. Additionally, if you are looking to start a career in this area and without experience we would love to hear from you, and support you with your journey.

The role of the Behaviour Intervention Support is to support the delivery of initiatives put in place to supportour hardest to reach students. The role will ensure that resources are put in place to help us to realise ourvision of ensuring that every child is able to climb their own personal mountain to the very best Universities orProfessions.

The Behaviour Intervention Support will be based at our onsite provision and will assist students accessing thecurriculum whilst receiving the right provision to ensure a successful exit into full time education withinGloucester Academy. The post will be supported by the Behaviour Intervention Lead, the Early Help coordinator,pastoral support and Assistant Headteacher leading on behaviour. The role is to support students withmultiple RFL or suspension episodes ensuring that they have the right access to support mechanisms tore-engage them with education. The role will involve working closely with parents or carers, work placementproviders where applicable, alternative schools and external agencies.

MAIN DU TIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Behaviour Intervention Lead

● Provide a safe, calm and well-ordered environment for all students and staff, focused on safeguardingpupils and extremely high expectations of exemplary behaviour

● Support the coordination of resources given to the students using a mixture of online lessons and faceto face teaching or intervention.

● Assimilate data to help coordinate next steps

● Attend regular reviews of the progress of students within the provision.

● Work closely with parents to ensure they are engaged at every step of the process.

● Work closely with Academy staff to ensure they are well informed as to the reintegration of any pupilback into mainstream education
