The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools in Devon and West Dorset, is seeking to recruit a fixed term Teaching Assistant for Blackpool Church of England Primary School.
Blackpool Church of England Primary School is situated on the very edge of Dartmoor National Park. It is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain and within easy reach to the A38/M5.
We are seeking to appoint a temporary Teaching Assistant to work across the school to support the teaching and learning of children with SEN, across various age ranges. This role is for 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday until 31st August 2025. Please express in your application how many hours you are looking to work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum.
- To deliver targeted interventions.
- To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
- To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion. There is an element of Mealtime Assistant linked to this role.
