Westcliff Primary Academy - SEMH Resource based Lead Teaching Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, a specialist Teaching Assistant at Westcliff Primary Academy to provide support within the SEMH Resource Hub.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher, to support children with special educational needs across all areas of the curriculum. The successful candidate will be required:
- to promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional wellbeing
- to liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
- to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion,
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude and can-do approach. The successful candidate will have transferable experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.
This role is offered on a fixed term basis for 32.5 hours per week; term time only; 38 weeks per year.
