Break and Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

The Break and Lunchtime Team at Moor End is a crucial part of The Academy. Our break and lunchtime staff supervise and engage our students during the morning break and lunchtimes. You will work within a dedicated and successful team led and supported by our Break and Lunchtime managers. The Break and Lunchtime team is also supported by members of the student support team and the senior leadership team at these times.

We always expect the highest standards of achievement, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and appearance from our students. We believe that our academy provides the ideal environment for our students to reach their potential in all subject areas. This ideal environment is only possible when all staff, both teaching and support staff work closely together to ensure the academy aims are at the forefront of everything we do. We expect these standards both within and outside of lessons, including when students are on their break and lunchtimes.

The Break and Lunchtime staff pride themselves on the work they carry out and understand how their role supports both students and the smooth running of the wider Academy. The role will suit individuals who are good communicators with staff and young people. Each and every role is essential in supporting our teaching staff and ensuring they are able to concentrate on the most important job of all – teaching our students!

The successful applicants will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check via the DBS. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
