Breakfast Club Assistant job summary

To assist in the provision of a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for pupils attending the Breakfast Club, ensuring that they have a positive start to the school day through healthy food, social interaction, and supervised play.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome and supervise pupils attending the Breakfast Club.

• Assist in preparing and serving a range of healthy breakfast foods and drinks, being aware of allergies and dietary needs

• Promote healthy eating and encourage good table manners.

• Ensure the safety, welfare, and good behaviour of pupils at all times.

• Organise and supervise appropriate games and activities to engage pupils before school starts.

• Set up and clear away equipment, utensils, and resources.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food preparation and eating areas.

• Record attendance and report any absences or incidents.

• Follow school policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management.

• Attend relevant training and staff meetings as required.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
