Breakfast Club Assistant job summary
Breakfast Club Assistant – Salary Scale Grade C Point 3 (£12.45 per hour, annual FTE £24,027)
We are looking to appoint a Wrap Around Care Assistant.
‘Pear Drops’ is our Wrap Around Care which runs from 7.30-8.30am and then 3.05pm until 6pm. We are currently recruiting for support at our breakfast club 7.30-8.30am, this is a lovely session which is vital in giving the children a warm and happy start to their day. The children will arrive from 7.30am where you will provide a calm environment for eating their breakfast and then provide support and supervision during play.
Main Responsibilities will include:
To supervise and support the children when eating and during supervised play.
To be ‘warm and welcoming’ to the children and their parents/careers.
To support and participate in the delivery of a stimulating, child-centred play and activity programme.
To work under the direction of the Wraparound Care Lead
To be aware of your individual responsibilities with regards to safeguarding and protecting children and abide by all policies and procedures.
To develop a positive attitude and positive relationships within the school.
To enjoy working with children and be aware at all times of the potential you have to positively support and influence children to help improve their participation and life outcomes.
The hours for the working pattern will be:
Monday to Friday 7:30am – 8:30am
Salary Scale Grade C Point 3 FTE Salary £24,027
Actual Salary £2,734 (Based on less than 5 years continuous service)
Term Time only: 38 weeks, 5 hours per week, 7:30am to 8:30am Monday-Friday
