5 hour a week, 7.45am-8.45am providing breakfast club support within our wrap around care function during term time.

38 weeks a year

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would like to join our friendly and hardworking team as Breakfast Club Play Practitioner. This is a new and exciting opportunity for somebody wishing to join our progressive school and team.

The successful candidate will assist in the supervision of children during the breakfast club sessions to ensure the general safety, welfare, and behaviour management of children during their period of care. You will be responsible for successfully assisting our Wraparound Care Supervisor to ensure all our children have an enjoyable experience. You will assistant the organisation and implementation of a variety of activities with the children and will also support and assist with breakfast and snack provision.

The successful candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic and have previous experience of working with children in a similar setting.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the provision of care of children in the wrap around care environment.
  • Experience of working in an educational context (e.g., school, nursery care).

  • The ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers, colleagues and third parties.
  • Is a good team player who is willing to contribute to the ethos and wider community of the academy.
  • Can act on their own initiative.

Orton Wistow Primary School is larger than most primary schools. We have 2 classes of 30 children in each year group, giving us a total of 420 children.

Since the school was built in 1988 to accommodate 200 pupils, we have had 2 ambitious building projects to accommodate the increase in our numbers. As a result of these changes we now have a stunning schools with wonderful indoor and outdoor facilities.

Orton Wistow is a popular, over subscribed school and benefits from a consistent roll despite the fact that we have a relatively small catchment area.
