Brixington Primary Academy is an inclusive and nurturing community primary school for children aged 3-11. We are located in the northern edge of the coastal town of Exmouth with close links to the A376 and M5.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring teaching assistant who is able to work 1:1 with individual children as well as with small groups of children who have complex educational needs and present with challenging behaviour.
The successful candidate with be able to:
- promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being
- liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
- demonstrate a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion.
Experience of working with SEND children and children with behavioural difficulties would be advantageous .
There is an element of Mealtime Assistant within this role where you will be required to support the pupils at lunchtime.
This role is fixed term until 31 August 2025.
