Are you an organised, proactive and people-focused administrator who wants to make a real
difference to young people and their families? We are looking for a Business Support Assistant with
responsibility for SEND to join our friendly and committed team at Light Hall School, where our
fantastic students are at the heart of everything we do.
This is an important and rewarding role at the heart of our SEND provision. You will help the
SENDCO and SEND team to keep key processes running smoothly, supporting a busy diary and
email inbox for the SENDCO and ensuring that communication, meetings, paperwork and records
are well organised, accurate and completed on time. You will work alongside another colleague in
the same role, who will provide support from 8.00am to 11.00am, helping to ensure consistent and
effective support for the SEND team throughout the school day. Your work will help colleagues,
parents, carers and external professionals receive the information and support they need, when
they need it.
Every day will be varied. You may be supporting access arrangements, preparing for annual
reviews, organising parent meetings, helping with SEND events, responding to enquiries or
making sure that student information is up to date and easy to access. You will need to be calm,
professional and discreet, with strong IT skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to
communicate sensitively with a wide range of people.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in getting things right and
understands how good administration can make a meaningful difference in school life. Experience
of working in a school or SEND setting would be helpful, but just as important are your warmth,
reliability, initiative and commitment to supporting our wonderful students, including those with
additional needs, to feel well supported and able to thrive.
In return for your experience, commitment and enthusiasm, we can offer you:
The opportunity to be part of our supportive and inclusive Light Hall family;
