We have a vacancy for a confident, enthusiastic and suitably qualified Business Support Officer – Attendance at our Upper School site. This is an exciting opportunity for a strongly motivated person with experience of working with a broad spectrum of young people to play an important, varied role in this successful and ambitious School.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a strong organisational ability

You will play a significant role in managing student absence at Key Stage 4 including: the daily absence notes, emails and phone calls for Key Stage 4, ensuring the efficient and accurate updating of SIMS, contacting parents and carers concerning students’ absence, along with the effective administration and organisation of Upper School lateness and behaviour and preparation of detention and isolation registers.

Applicants must have a good working knowledge of the whole suite of Microsoft Office and g-suite software and be comfortable using Word and Excel extensively. We use SIMS as our main management information software and whilst familiarity with this piece of software is not essential the successful candidate must be able to learn quickly as they will use this central source of management information on a daily basis.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process.
