What is the job role?

This non-classroom-based role is physically demanding yet highly rewarding. It offers an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals supporting pupils aged 4–19 with a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, medical conditions, and learning difficulties.

As a Personal Care Enabler, you will work closely with class teams to promote the welfare, dignity, and independence of pupils across the school. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting pupils in implementing personal care programmes throughout the school day
  • Providing practical support with personal hygiene
  • Supporting pupils with eating, drinking, and toileting needs
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and preparing personal care equipment
