What skills and experience we're looking for
Part Time Care Support Assistant vacancies available at our school based in Tilehurst, Reading.
Working hours - 9.30am to 2.30pm, 22.5 hours per week, Term time only
The Care Support Assistant will support pupils across the school with personal care needs, administering medication, physio exercises, supporting classes at snack, lunch and breaktimes, including feeding.
For the Care Support Assistant role, experience of working in the care sector is preferred.
We are looking for people who are patient, caring, supportive, flexible, have a good sense of humour, enjoy using their initiative and working as part of a team.
Previous experience of working with children and young people with SEN is an advantage in both roles but not essential as full training will be provided. Successful candidates need to be physically fit.
The Avenue is a day school for pupils aged 2 – 19 with complex special needs including those with significant health needs and autism.
