Careers Lead (maternity cover) job summary

Across both Boys’ School and Girls’ School

Part-time, Fixed-term (Maternity Cover) - 12 - 15 hours per week

Salary - £28,221 - £34,998 (Pro rata)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join us as Careers Lead (Maternity Cover), starting in September 2026. This fixed-term position will cover the maternity leave of the substantive post-holder and is expected to last for up to one year or until her return. The role is part-time, offering 12 hours per week, spread over three mornings. Two mornings will be on-site to engage with students and staff, with one morning potentially worked remotely by agreement.

As the Careers Lead, you will lead the strategic delivery of our Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) programme, working across both the Boys’ and Girls’ Schools. The role includes coordinating key events such as Year 12 Work Experience week and overseeing the 1:1 programme of careers advice sessions with the external careers advisor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual who is passionate about helping students plan and prepare for their futures. You will be an integral part of the Personal Development team, supporting our students through their journey of career exploration and development.
