We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to be the heart of our school's upkeep, primarily working a 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM shift or 2:00 PM- 10:00 PM. This unique schedule means you'll play a vital role in the secure closure of the site and prepping for the next day. In the school holidays you will be able to move to day shifts if preferred to do more team working.

What You'll Bring:
  • Proven experience in a trade, or solid, demonstrated competence in general maintenance, basic DIY, and minor repairs.

  • A calm, positive, and highly flexible approach, comfortable with varied responsibilities where every day is different and very busy.

  • Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail and presentation.

  • Reliable and confident in following all relevant Health and Safety procedures (e.g., COSHH, manual handling).

  • Strong team-player mentality with effective communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Security & Access: Acting as a key holder, responsible for the security, locking, and unlocking of the school buildings and site.

  • Maintenance: Undertaking a wide variety of minor repairs and general maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing, painting, joinery) as directed by the Estates Manager.

  • Site Management: Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are consistently clean, safe, and well-presented.

  • Health & Safety: Assisting with maintaining H&S compliance, including regular checks and risk assessments.

  • Teamwork: Being a proactive part of a dynamic maintenance team, working together to maintain and improve the site.
