Caretaker and Site Maintenance job summary
Reepham High School & College is an 11-18 comprehensive school, 12 miles north of Norwich. It has approximately 1100 students in total, including 240 students in the sixth form, known as ‘Reepham College’. The school serves a very wide catchment area of nearly 400 square kilometres and 85% of our young people travel by bus.
The school is a true comprehensive school with pupils of all abilities and backgrounds. The intake of the school is broadly in line with the national average in terms of prior attainment. We are currently working to improve our GCSE results, although performance at A Level is consistently in the top 10% nationally for progress made.
Reepham High School & College have a vacancy for a Caretaker to join our site team, working closely with our current Caretaker and Site Manager. The successful applicant will assist the current team in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school to ensure that the premises and contents are properly maintained, secured and ready for use.
As directed by the Site Manager, the working hours will be determined by the needs of the school and undertaken in agreement with the Head of School. As a designated keyholder, responsibilities may extend beyond regular working hours, and will include working across Reepham High School and College, Reepham Primary School and Bawdeswell Primary School sites as required. The ideal candidate for this physically demanding role will be proactive and hands-on with excellent handy-person skills and an eagerness to problem solve and carry out their duties in an efficient and proactive manner.
