Caretaker Assistant job summary

Caretaker Assistant - Permanent Contract - 17.5 hours per week

Barnsbury Primary School and Nursery are looking to appoint an Assistant Caretaker to join our caring and values led community and work alongside our Site Manager. We are looking for a practical and positive person who can help maintain our school premises to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will:

• Demonstrate relevant ‘DIY skills’ in order to carry out minor repairs.

• Demonstrate knowledge of correct moving and handling procedures and be physically able to carry out the physical aspects of the role

• Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety relevant to premises management.

• Demonstrate good communication skills.

• Be a team player.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 3.00-6.30pm - 17.5 hours per week. Term time only (37 week).

Salary:

SWAN Grade 3 - FTE is £23,576, actual is ££9,351
