What skills and experience we're looking for
We wish to appoint a person familiar with general caretaking responsibilities, with some practical experience in maintenance, decorating and or minor building work. The postholder will help to manage and maintain our site at Astor Secondary School and also support the work of the site managers at our other schools within the Trust.
The successful applicant will be flexible and committed and will take pride in ensuring the school is well maintained, providing a clean, tidy, safe environment for our staff, pupils and visitors. You will need to be able to work both on your own initiative as well as under the guidance of others.
Our site is hired out to local community groups which is a good source of income for the school. As part of this role, you may be required, at times, to work together with our established and new customers to ensure the smooth running of our facilities.
A full driving licence is essential.
The current team work a shift pattern and you will rota between the early shift: 7amuntil 3pmand late shift: 10amuntil 6pm. 37.5 hours per week with a 1/2 hour break. Some flexibility will be necessary for the late shifts when the school has events on.
Salary of Kent Range 5 £25,339.86
