Job details

Hours of work: 25 hours per week to be worked during the school term time plus 3 weeks during the school holidays

Position type: Caretaker

Salary: £24,790 - 25,584 pro rata

Actual ,Salary £15,461 - £15,956

As a Caretaker, you will ensure that the school’s buildings and grounds are in proper working order, maintaining a safe working environment for all users of the facility. Carrying out minor repairs and reporting any faults which require specialist help, you will maintain the grounds and ensure the premises are clean and rubbish is collected.

The role also involves being responsible for the security of the buildings, carrying out security checks and ensuring all fire safety and health and safety regulations are adhered to.

The job requirements

Good DIY skills and knowledge of basic maintenance

Manual handling techniques

Ability to use power tools safely, all safety equipment will be provided

Good communication skills and a reliable member of the team

Ability to work both inside and outside of the school grounds.
