Caretaker job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the estates management team at Tarporley High School and Sixth Form College. The postholder will work as part of a team providing site maintenance services to the school.

The working pattern will be:-

• Week 1 - 07.00 - 10.45 Monday to Friday
• Week 2 - 16.45 - 20.00 Monday to Friday

(During school closure periods, patterns will revert to 08.00 to 11.45 and 12.15 - 16.00)

The successful candidate will receive paid public holidays and 26 days paid annual leave (rising to 31 days after 5 years continuous service). Paid sick leave in accordance with length of service.

The postholder will also be automatically enrolled in the Cheshire Pension Fund (a Local Government Pension Scheme) with a very generous employer’ contribution rate. We would consider job share for applicants who are interested in the post but only wish to work part time.

A full clean driving licence is essential. Previous experience of working in an educational environment would be desirable but is not essential.
