What skills and experience we're looking for

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. The applicant must have recent and relevant experience in a similar role (level 2 TA or above) or be a qualified teacher.

In addition to the responsibilities of a Level 3 TA, the successful candidate will also take an important role in:

  • Deliver 1:1 support to students with SEND, focusing on academic tasks, social integration, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record student progress, adapting strategies as needed to meet their evolving needs.
  • Facilitate the inclusion of SEND students in mainstream classes and extracurricular activities.
  • Provide support in developing students’ independence and self-esteem.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Being an appraiser within our robust appraisal process to ensure that the highest standards are met for both staff and our students
