We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Caretaker to join our friendly team at West Walton School, helping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Opening and securing the school premises each day
- Carrying out daily maintenance and minor repairs
- Ensuring the school site is clean, safe and well-presented
- Managing heating, lighting and security systems
- Overseeing site safety checks and risk assessments
- Monitoring contractors on-site and assisting with deliveries
- Maintaining playgrounds, gardens and outdoor areas
- Responding to any emergency maintenance issues

- Has experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role
- Is practical, proactive, and takes pride in their work
- Understands health and safety procedures
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Is friendly, approachable and committed to supporting our school community
