THE ROLE Based at our huddersfield school Joseph Norton a special academy educating children and young people with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties across Kirklees. With our new school underway in Deighton we are recruiting ready for our growth. We are seeking to recruit colleagues who are seeking the flexibility offered by a casual contract. These colleagues will play an important role across our school providing both regular and ad hoc support for our pupils as well as providing cover for full time members of staff. As a School Inclusion Support Worker ISW within our partnership, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and help our pupils navigate the path to a better future.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Experience in a school or similar setting

  • Experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs

  • MUST be educated with GCSE Math's and English

  • Car driver with access to vehicle and business insurance

  • NVQ L3 qualification or working at this level

  • Flexibility is key being able to travel between main site and satellites

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to complete all safer recruitment checks in line with KCSiE

  • Casual staff will be required to attend appropriate training

  • Casual staff will be required to provide availability for a minimum of 2 weeks

  • Staff will be paid on the 15th of each month on receipt of submitted timesheet

  • Gaps of more than 3 months without working would result in termination of contract

  • Availability can be full or part time

SALARY/ BENEFITS
Hourly rate for a casual Inclusion Support Worker is £15.35 per hour + HP and amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust
