Now, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Outreach Teacher to join our dynamic team on a Casual/Supply basis, stepping in to support as and when needed. About the Role

As a Casual / Supply Outreach Teacher, you will work closely with our Outreach Lead to deliver tailored, specialist support to mainstream settings. Your work will directly help schools meet the needs of children with difficulties related to the Communication and Interaction, and/or Cognition and learning needs.

You will contribute your expertise, your creativity, and your passion for inclusive education empowering school staff and transforming outcomes for children and young people.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Is…

A high‑quality practitioner with excellent classroom management and a strong background working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs. Someone who is motivated by making education accessible, meaningful and achievable for all.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

You will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Be a qualified SENCO
  • Bring a solid understanding of child development
  • Be confident using a range of approaches such as:
    • Visual Structure such as TEACCH
    • PECS
    • AAC
    • Adaptive teaching and Differentiation
    • Dyslexia Strategies
  • Have experience supporting pupils with needs related to Communication and Interaction and/or cognition and learning, in either SEND or mainstream settings
  • Know how to implement effective strategies and interventions
  • Be experienced in the EHCP process, including reviews
  • Be able to write and implement IEPs
  • Adapt curriculum plans and schemes of work to meet diverse learning needs
  • Track progress using school‑based assessment systems
  • Have strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Be confident communicating with parents, professionals, and senior leaders
