What are we looking for?
Join The Hereford Church of England Academy as a Catering and Housekeeping Apprentice and play a key role in supporting to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals to our students, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded and successful catering team in what will be a demanding, varied and extremely rewarding role. No experience is necessary but flexibility and an enthusiastic approach to hard work are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team and with initiative.
The role will involve supporting to prepare and serve meals and snacks to students, staff and visitors, and undertake associated housekeeping duties, such as taking deliveries, maintaining cleanliness and working on the tills etc.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for preparing and presenting food, and be able to communicate effectively with staff, students and visitors. As part of your apprenticeship training, you will benefit from a high degree of hands-on experience and receive off the job training through the apprenticeship programme, leading you to become more experienced and confident in your role.
The post holder will be expected to support the Academy’s values and will contribute to the overall good order within the Academy, including behaviour management and promoting well-being of students.
