What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of St Clement’s C.E Primary School are seeking applications for a Catering Assistant.
We are looking for a team player who is hard working, enthusiastic and reliable.
You will be assisting the kitchen manager with all kitchen duties; kitchen porter duties may also be expected.
Main duties include:
- Food prep
- Food service
- Basic cooking
- Cleaning all food stations
- Pot washing
- Ensuring all food stock is in date and meeting health and safety regulations
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to get his or her foot in the door with cook work and would like the opportunity to progress.
We need someone who will: -
- Be able to follow both verbal and written instructions e.g. menus, guidelines
- Be polite, courteous and friendly towards colleagues and pupils
- Be able to work as part of a team and maintain good relationships with colleagues.
- Be able to work under pressure and respond to changing needs
- Set high expectations
- Show a strong commitment to safeguarding children
You will be required to have:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene or equivalent (not essential training provided)
- A high level of commitment to the school and community
