Catering Assistant (15 hours) job summary
About the Role:
We are seeking to employ a Catering Assistant as soon as possible to work in our friendly and supportive School Kitchen.
1 x 15 Hours – Term Time (38.8 weeks)
Daily Monday to Friday 11:00 am – 14:00 pm during term time.
The main role of this post is to support the Kitchen Lead and Cook to ensure a high standard of meals are prepared in a safe, hygienic and timely manner.
The role involves; pot washing, cleaning, food service, customer service and some/limited food production.
About You:
The successful candidate must be a good communicator, team player, child centred, able to meet deadlines and reliable. They must have or be willing to work towards Basic food hygiene and first aid training.
It is desirable that candidates would have experience of working within a busy kitchen environment, knowledge of health and safety and an understanding of allergens. The kitchen normally prepares in excess of 310 meals per day.
