Kingfisher Primary Academy is looking for a Catering Assistant who is passionate about delivering excellent service and supporting our vibrant school community. This is a term-time, part-time role working 10 hours per week, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys working as part of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities- Provide high standards of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for pupils.
- Act as a key worker for specific children, supporting their wellbeing and routines.
- Assist with the preparation and serving of fresh food.
- Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and interventions.
- Contribute to a high-quality learning environment and positive school culture.
- Liaise with families and professionals as directed by the SENDCo or class teacher.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in food preparation areas.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to uphold professional standards.
- A team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in catering or food preparation, ideally in an educational setting.
- Someone who shares our belief that every child can succeed, no matter their starting point.

Kingfisher is a fantastic academy that places great importance on the success of its pupils. Children are assessed regularly and effective support ensures children make progress. An innovative curriculum has been designed to ensure that children take part in exciting lessons and that they play an active part in their own learning. A number of extra curricular clubs ensure that children have access to a range of enriching activities.
As an academy we love working with parents and have an increasing army of volunteer helpers who support us during the school day. We value the opinions of children in school and they have their own council. The council has regular meetings and discuss a wide range of issues.
Kingfisher is a two form entry academy (420 places) with a 52 place nursery.
