Catering Assistant job summary

A minimum of 22.5 hours per week, daily hours to be worked are 8.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday (start time can be flexible for the right candidate), term time only (39 weeks). Grade A – Step 1 - Full Time Equivalent Salary £23,473, Actual Salary £12,242.64 (based on 22.5 hours)

You will need to be able to work between our Trust sites if required, which are Wildern Secondary School, Deer Park Secondary School and Boorley Park Primary School so a driving licence would be required.

We are looking someone to join our team in our busy, fast paced kitchen within a large secondary school. Working under the direction of the Catering Manager to help prepare, cook and serve food and drink to students and staff. In addition, you will be required to prepare and dismantle eating areas and carry out cleaning duties whilst maintaining high quality standards of health, hygiene and safety. The successful candidate will ideally have the Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, although training is available if necessary.
