About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team. In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to our pupils, maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety, and assist with cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas. You will play an important part in creating a positive lunchtime experience for our children.
Requirements
- Ability to follow food hygiene and safety standards (training can be provided).
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
- Flexibility to work during school hours (term-time only).
- Physical ability to carry out tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and standing for periods.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills for interacting with staff and pupils.
- Friendly and approachable manner.
- Previous catering experience is desirable.
