Purpose:

You will be delivering high-quality food and service that creates a safe, welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for pupils and staff. You will help prepare and serve meals to agreed standards, maintain hygiene and food safety compliance, and contribute positively to the school community while supporting the wider Trust catering team.

Duties (further details in the attached application pack):

  • Prepare and set up the dining area, furniture and service equipment for meals
  • Cook and serve dishes to agreed recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all catering areas and equipment daily
  • Follow food safety, HACCP and record‑keeping requirements, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Provide cover or transfer to other Trust schools when required
  • Support safe working practices and comply with Health & Safety policies
  • Act as a professional role model through presentation, punctuality, and behaviour

Fluency Duty

This role has been identified as falling within the definition of requiring fluency in spoken English. You will be required to speak English with confidence and be able to conduct a conversation and answer questions for extended periods of time.
