Catering Assistant job summary

We are looking for a self-motivated, well-organised and enthusiastic person to join our team to assist in the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments to students and staff. Previous experience of working within a kitchen environment would be an advantage but not essential.

You will assist in the preparation of food and in the service of meals and refreshments and undertake associated kitchen duties as directed by the Catering Manager. Basic Food Hygiene Certificates must be achieved within six months of starting work. This will be organised by the school and can be done on site.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. This is also done via the school by an online form.
